Still getting Qs, so here’s the basics:

When is Slutwalk London?

NEXT WEEKEND! The 11th June, from 1pm.

What’s the route?

We gather outside the Hard Rock Cafe at 1pm. When we’re all ready, we Slutwalk on down Piccadilly and into The Haymarket, Pall Mall East into Trafalgar Square for the Rally.

Will there be speeches?

Yes indeed, from a variety of individuals and organisations.

Is there a dress code?

Absolutely not. Wear whatever you want! Feel free to dress up, dress down, or dress as you usually would - whatever you’re comfortable in.

Will there be placards/banners? What should I have on mine?

Yes, and please bring your own! We’re gathering ideas under the hashtag #walkslogans on Twitter, so head over there for ideas.

Do I have to ‘reclaim’ slut?

You can if you want! But this is about much more than just that one word - this is about tackling victim-blaming and slut-shaming. We’re challenging rape culture with SlutWalk, and we hope you’ll join us regardless of how you feel about the word. After all, if that officer in Toronto had said women shouldn’t dress like ‘tarts’ it would probably be TartWalk - it’s the attitude that’s the problem, the word is just one factor within it.

Can I help in any way?

Of course. If you can, please donate as we’ve got some hefty bills to cover to ensure the event is safe and legal - head over to

http://tinyurl.com/slutwalkdonate to do so.

If you want to steward on the day (you’ll need to be in London early, and be able to deal with large crowds, possible confrontation & making sure everyone is happy and healthy!) then let us know at [email protected] - the more the merrier!

If you have any more questions, fire away! Our ask box is always open.
